Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Join CMBO naturalists and walk New Jersey's miracle mile for an exciting array of winter birds! We’ll explore the Glades Wildlife Refuge and Dividing Creek to enjoy wintering raptors, including lots of Bald Eagles, and wintering shorebirds, gulls and ducks, including Green-winged Teal, Bufflehead, Hooded Mergansers, Common Mergansers and Bonaparte’s Gulls. TRANSPORTATION: We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over jetties. North Shore Ponds & Inlets

Point Pleasant - Broadway Public Parking lot 3 Broadway, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, United States

The inlets and ponds in this area can be great for a variety of winter birds including ducks, loons, gulls and maybe alcids. The "north shore" between Point Pleasant Beach and Belmar can make for great winter birding. We'll search the inlets, ponds, and oceanfront for a variety of ducks, loons, gulls, and more. In some years Razorbills or other rarer alcids may be present, and the tour can be good for "white-winged" gulls.  Meet at the east end of Broadway in Point Pleasant Beach. Bring binoculars, spotting scope if you have one, and lunch. Dress warmly. This trip requires little walking. Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack. Explore varied habitats for a wide variety of birds including raptors, sparrows and more. Footing may be wet. Have you ever wondered about the birds you see in your backyard? Learn basic bird ID during this beginner friendly bird walk. Learn about the species that wander through your own backyard and how to tell different birds apart. Enjoy the late winter/early spring sights and sounds as we wander the trails at Lorrimer birding! Join CMBO naturalists for 2 hours of birding around beautiful Cape May Point! Crossbills, siskins, redpolls – oh, my! Winter can be such a special time to bird Cape May Point. Each week we’ll scour the Park or wander the streets to see what avian visitors are calling Cape May Point their winter home. The winter finch prediction sounds promising, the ponds are full of ducks, and loons and scoters are on the move. Our path may take us through the quiet streets of Cape May Point, visiting local feeders. Or maybe we’ll travel along the dunes to check the morning flight line. Lily Lake and the Northwood Center often hold wintering songbirds and, of course, the State Park is always good.
