Sandy Hook Birding
Sandy Hook - Lot B Hartshorne Drive, Sandy HookDecember brings building flocks of wintering waterfowl and other species at this coastal hotspot. Good time for building flocks of waterbirds including sea ducks and loons, plus gannets and gulls. We’ll work the beaches for a flock or two of Snow Buntings and Horned Larks, with a chance for Lapland Longspur or another rarity. Be prepared for a fair amount of walking over flat and sandy terrain. Bring lunch. Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack. NJ Audubon Digital Photography Workshop: Digital Editing 1
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, BernardsvilleInstructors: Phil Witt, David DesRochers, and Jack Moskowitz, Associate Naturalists The workshop will cover the basic RAW conversion software and essential Photoshop tools, such as levels, curves, the crop tool, and the clone stamp. The workshop will address how to clean up an image, simplifying the image and removing distractions. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashdrive with 2 images (preferably RAW) for editing demonstrations. Registration required, ticket sales end on 12/12 at 4:00 PM. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund.
