Wild Calm: NYC to NJ and Beyond
The Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary presents a collection of paintings by artist Ingrid Marie Harbor from the past decade that highlights the gardens and parks of Staten Island and Central New Jersey, plus a variety of bird portraits and a mini trip out West to Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. With each scene drawing the viewer into this site-responsive, sensory-inspired artwork, Ingrid Marie Harbor captures jewel-toned moments of calm amid the wild hustle and bustle life regularly demands. www.ingrid.art
The exhibition runs Sept 13th through Nov 6th and is free and open to the public. The October 4th reception is a wonderful opportunity to view the work, speak with the artist, and celebrate the beauty of the natural world through her distinctive vision. A portion of the proceed will benefit New Jersey Audubon.
