The Beanery was hopping this morning, with birds, that is! We had eight species of warblers, including five Northern Waterthrush and ten Common Yellowthroats. Both Indigo Buntings and Blue Grosbeaks chipped from the fields and eventually sat up. There were a few flycatchers and sparrows around, including one sparrow we tried to make into a clay-colored but, when looking at photos, found that it did have a very faint eyestripe which extended to the bill, plus the rump was the gray of a Chipping Sparrow rather than the brown of a Clay-colored. It was a fun morning!
