Spring Birding at the Garrett Family Preserve – June 22, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon, Alan Crawford

Temp: 77°F

Winds: SSW 6 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

This was the last walk of the season at the Garrett Preserve. Birds have really settled into their breeding season and though we still saw and/or heard Yellow-breasted Chats, Indigo Buntings, Field Sparrows, Prairie Warblers and Blue Grosbeak, they were not as obvious as in previous weeks. As has become the norm in just the last couple of years, White Ibis numbers (60) exceeded that of Glossy Ibis (8).
