The ponds at the State Park held the treasures this morning. Wood Duck, Glossy Ibis, Green and Little Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher, Green and Blue-winged Teal and Great Egret were all on Lighthouse Pond. Songbirds moving through forested areas included several Veery, American Redstarts, Black-and-white Warbler, Northern Parula and Red-breasted Nuthatch. The dunes held a Blue Grosbeak, sitting up in the grasses feeding on seeds, and feeding on the ground were a bobbing Northern Waterthrush and Field Sparrows.
