GREENWOOD GARDENS BIRDWALK

Thursday, April 4  8:00 to 11:00 AM  Led by Dave Hall, Associate Naturalist  We will tour Greenwood Gardens in search of early spring migrants.  Explore several habitats including hardwood forest, conifer stands, ponds, and meadows.    Registration with Greenwood Gardens is required for this trip.  Please register online at www.greenwoodgardens.org or call 973-258-4026.  Cost: $10 NJA and Greenwood Gardens members, $15 nonmembers.  Location: Greenwood Gardens, 274 Old Short Hills Road, Short Hills, NJ 

NJ Audubon: Spring Break Fun for ages 6-9 years

Join us at Scherman Hoffman for spring break fun! Each themed day will be filled with super fun Teacher/naturalist led activities and adventures in the great outdoors. Sign up for one or more days. Be sure to pack a lunch. For youth ages 6 to 9 years. COST: $85.00 per day. SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day Monday, April 1 - Natural Art - Create nature inspired art. Tuesday, April 2 – Enchanted World - Make a fairy house or a gnome home to take home. Wednesday, April 3 – Home Sweet Home - Make and take home some "home sweet homes" for the animals. Thursday, April 4 – Enchanted Woodlands - Make a fairy house or a gnome home for the fairies and gnomes in our Enchanted Forest. Friday, April 5 – Wetland Adventure - Explore the ponds and the Passaic River. Location: 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ Registration required at Eventbrite by March 29 at 9:00 AM. We welcome a new generation of budding naturalists to Lorrimer Sanctuary for this "grown-up-and-me" style program. We will read books, explore outside, and learn about nature in age-appropriate ways for littles! SCHEDULE: March 21st: Seed Planting March 28th: Radical Reptiles April 4th: April Showers April 11th: Spring Scavenger Hunt April 18th: Nature Egg Hunt April 25th: Earth Day May 2nd : May Flowers May 11th: World Series of Birding COST: $5 per child for members, $6 per child for nonmembers. Step into the future with Scherman Hoffman

New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville

Join us twice a month to hike/walk the grounds of Scherman Hoffman with our new Center Director, Jan Hudson. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas 1:1 or in a small group setting. Share your history, involvement, and love of the Sanctuary, give input and feedback regarding the center and get your thoughts and ideas heard. Get your steps in with Jan while learning more about Scherman Hoffman’s future plans! Walk subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Pre-registration required.
